Green Tracks Bangalore - FIR

Serious setbacks due to improper servicing led me on the lookout for a good FIAT car service center in Bangalore for my Palio. One of my friends at office owns a FIAT Palio 1.6 GTX and he recommended me to try out Green tracks on Hosur Road. I too did a bit of research and found out that there are only a few named service guys for FIAT vehicles.

It wasn't hard locating the service center since proper directions had been given to me by my friend. The service center was a really spacious and well maintained one.

Mr Hari, the service adviser spoke to me regarding the details of the vehicle and did a thorough check. I did quite some cribbing and hoped that these would be fixed. I was given an estimate of about 3500 Rs which i thought was pretty decent. I was expected to receive details regarding an oil leak by afternoon.

My first stage of disappointment was when i didn't receive a call till 4 in the evening. I decided to call them up. I was asked to wait for another hour. They did get back to me with a leaky brake cylinder which required replacement (1600 Rs). I was also told that the vehicle would be ready only by thee next day.  I was somehow hoping to get a billing amount of about 5k.

I received a call the next day stating that my bill amount was about 6.5k. Didn't know what to say. Went to pick up the vehicle. One of my vehicle tire had gone for a toss (thanks to badly maintained road dividers). Got that also replaced. Total of about 10k.

The surprise was when i took my vehicle out for a spin. Somehow felt like the engine has been removed from my car due to lack of any sound. It was just smooth sailing. My theater dimming lights were also fixed :) apart from all the repairs etc. Just returned from a superb rainy ride. Its just wonderful

Have given our Indica for servicing over the weekend. The drive was smooth before the servicing was done. The headlight on the right stopped glowing after the service. The vehicle started to jitter too much while reversing or while driving slow. The back seat on the left hand side started falling off every time we had to stop suddenly in the traffic. Had gone again today, to fix the seat and the jitter. They charged 120/- for the headlight bulb, saying its gone bad. Had an estimate of 850/- while the job card was given. Paid a bill of 928/- after service. This is my first Green Tracks experience.
